  1. How does Anna view her professional role in this situation? What are her attitudes toward the child care staff? How are her attitudes expressed in her actions?
     
  2. What does the center's staff perceive Anna's role to be?
     
  3. What, if anything, would you have done differently when entering the center? How would you have handled the interaction with Melinda?
     
  4. Outline all the issues Anna faces in this story. Which one(s) does she need to attend to immediately? What resources might she have to help her determine what to do? What exactly should Anna do or say before leaving the center today? Write out the specific actions you would take and the words you would use.
     
  5. Should the parents be told that their children might not have been receiving milk for lunch at the center? If so, who should tell them and how?
